Janet first saw SuperKettles when visiting her brother who lives in Singapore, and was immediately struck by how much more convenient they were than the traditional British kettle.  Like most ‘Brits’, she was sceptical that it would make a good cup of tea, but this was quickly disproved, and the benefits of immediate electronically-controlled hot water, safety, and energy-efficiency made it an obvious must-have. So, of course, she brought one home in her hand luggage.

Anyone who has been to the Far East will know that SuperKettles are very common, and have been standard kitchen equipment for many years. When interest from family and friends showed that there was nothing like it available in the U.K., Janet set about importing and selling them here. Many of our sales now come from people who have seen these abroad, and have looked for something similar in the UK.

It took time to find models that would look good in any British kitchen, and, of course, comply with all the E.U. safety regulations. The new SuperKettles from newtonz Ltd are the result.

Although SuperKettles are designed for domestic kitchens, they have been also been welcomed by small offices and salons - Janet lent one to her hairdresser for the day, and he wouldn’t give it back!

A SuperKettle replaces your ordinary kettle, keeps the water a fraction below boiling without creating steam, and has a built-in pump. So, you can make tea, coffee or other drinks at the touch of a button. There’s no need to wait for the kettle to boil when you get home, wake up early, or when friends drop in - the water’s ready!

SuperKettles are designed to sit on the worktop, with a similar footprint to a traditional kettle.  The white model is only 11 inches tall and the stainless steel model 13 inches tall. Top up with cold water, and to use, simply place a cup or teapot under the spout and press the button - water is delivered into the cup or teapot. An added bonus for anyone with limited mobility or steadiness is that there is no lifting or pouring of heavy kettles - just press the touch switch and the pump does the rest.

SuperKettles save energy because they are insulated, so any unused water is kept hot, and maintained by the electronic control circuit.  And the outside is only ever safely hand-warm.  SuperKettles are very quiet in operation, and don’t create steam owing to the electronic controls which switch to ‘keep warm’ as soon as the water boils.
